We all know that continuous improvement is vital for business growth.
At Money101 it is particularly significant in relation to our product offering – education and training.
- We work in the rapidly growing and ever-changing digital learning space so we need to be deploying the latest and greatest technology when it comes to interactivity and learner engagement. We need to know our way around a vast range of technologies and consult our crystal ball when it comes to future developments so we can innovate.
- We only work in financial services. This sector is a regulatory minefield with changes occurring in line with budgets, incoming governments and formal inquiries. For our education and training to be relevant it must be accurate, up-to-date and, most importantly, it must add value.
- Resting on our laurels is not an option; we must be innovators if we are to thrive in our industry so we ask questions of our clients and staff and observe what is going on in our field, constantly re-evaluating how we do things.
Staying on top of our game requires research, listening to feedback, persistence and a lot of hard work. We invest heavily in our people to make this happen, in other words, we practice what we preach. Professional development is vital for our team, as it is for all businesses.
Our SMSF101 course was updated last year and just last week was re-accredited by the SMSF Professionals’ Association of Australia (SPAA). It was awarded 60 CPD points. We were thrilled with the result. Here’s what SPAA’s CPD Services Manager, Todd Walters had to say:
“I am particularly impressed with the blended design elements used and pedagogical elements i.e. video clips, hyperlinks to websites and pdfs, case studies, review questions, the glossary tailored for each module as well as the resources section for same and the overall simple layout and ease of navigation.”
Our desire is to push the envelope and make our learning as interesting, accessible, engaging and valuable as we possibly can, so we embrace any type of appraisal as it gives us fresh ideas on how to improve even more!
